Mites Win Second straight HVHL Championship

The Pearl River Pirates Mite team won their second straight Mite A Hudson Valley Hockey League North Division crown.   The team, comprised of seven to nine year-olds, capped off an undefeated league season with a 3-0 shutout over the rival Clarkstown Capitals.  The team made great strides this year, and finished the 2009-10 season with a record of 27-4-2, with a 9-0-1 league record.    In the final, the team continued a season of strong play by it’s goalie Sean Suter (10 shutouts) and defenseman Hunter McGee, Bryan Draper, Aiden Grieco (2 goals in the title game), and Will Fortescue by holding the Capitals with very few scoring chances.   The forwards kept the pressure on the Clarkstown goalie all game, and they all had numerous scoring chances throughout the game.  The forwards included Matt Lotto (goal in finals), Luke McGee, Louden Sheehan, Shannon Traynor, Conor James, Jack Healy, and Sean O’Connor.

Bantam A Wins HVHL Championship

The Bantam A team won the HVHL Championship on 2/28/10 by defeating the Rye Rangers 5-0.  The Pirates were powered by goals from Patrick Burns, Trevor McGee and Sean Brennan.

Pirates win 2007-08 Mite House League Championship

 The Pearl River Mite House League Team captured the Hackensack Ice House Championship for the 2007-08 Season.  The Pirates were powered by Liam McLinskey, CJ McGee, Owen Healy and outstanding goaltending by Daniel Ryan.

Pirates Win Mite Travel Tournament Championship at NESC Classic in Marlborough, Ma.

The Pirate Mite travel team ended the season with a tournament win at the NESC Classic in Marlborough, Ma.  The Pirates upset Lewiston Mn. 4-3 in overtime of the Champioship game.  Great Job Guys Congratulations!

Pirates Win Squirt Travel Tournament Championship at NESC Classic in Marlborough, Ma.

The Pirate Squirt team finished the 2007-08 season with a tournament win at the NESC Championships in Marlborough Ma.  The Pirates beat the Rye Rangers in quadruple overtime in the semi finals before defeating Acton Boxboro 5-2 in the finals.  The Pirates were lead on offense by Liam McCullough, Anthony Mullen and Anthony Persico with strong goaltending from Peter Negron.

Pee Wee A Pirates win March Classic

The Pirates needed to play three games Sunday 3/1/09 to win the Marlboro March Classic this past weekend.   Their day started off at 7:10am with a tough loss to Northwestern 2-0.  That put the Pirates in 4th place going into the semis.  Their opponent would be the NJ Freeze who came into the game with a 41-5 record on the year.  The Pirates played mistake free hockey and upset the Freeze 4-0.  Then after waiting through delays Pearl River matched up against the Conquistadors at 7:45pm.  Again they were up to the task and won 6-0 to take home the hardware.  Way to go Guys.

Pirates Pee Wee A team wins 2008-09 Hudson Valley Hockey League Championship

The Pirates Pee Wee A team beat the Vipers 8-5 in the semi-finals.  Then in an overtime thriller defeated the Clarkstown Capitals 6-5 in the league championship.  Way to go guys!
